Come to and experience the summer trail running atmosphere on some of the capital’s most scenic trails! On Friday 12.6.2026

The event is being organized by Helsinki Half Marathon Oy, known for the Björn Borg Helsinki Half Marathon.

Trail running for kids! Kids Run Helsinki Trail is open for children of all ages.
Choose from two distances: 500 m (for kids under 7) ja 1000 m (for older kids)

Start is at Paloheinän maja and the route runs in Helsinki Central Park. All young runners will be rewarded with a medal at the finish line!

Kids run bib numbers can be picked up at the Helsinki Trail Run race office on event day between 14.30-17.00. You can also late register for the event at the race office until 17.00.

Helsinki Trail Run will be run on Friday 12.6.2026

Preliminary start times for both distances (10 km and 21,1 km) are 18.30

There is also own runs for kids. Schedule for the kids runs coming soon.

SERIES

Series are Men/Women.

In addition there is a series for other-gender.

START

Start will take place in one starting group. 

Exact starting location will be announced closer to the event.

RACE OFFICE AND BIB NUMERS

At the race office you can pick up your bib number or late register for the event. You can also pick up your friend’s number by presenting their email.

You will receive your running number by email before the race office opens. Please be ready to show this email to the race office staff when picking up your bib number. If you don’t receive the information about your number (do also check your spam folder), you will get it by your name from the race office on race day.

BAG DROP

Free equipment storage is available for participants, located near the race office. The equipment storage is open on the day of the event.

Equipment will be collected back against your competition number. Please do not lose your number after the competition until you have collected your belongings from storage.

We accept payments with Finnish sport vouchers: Smartum, ePassi and Edenred.

  1. Electronic sport vouchers should be paid to Helsinki Half Marathon Oy in your sports benefit app (Smartum, Edenred or ePassi).

    When you send the vouchers, please put following details inside the envelope: Participant name(s), the amount of vouchers and event name and date.

LATE REGISTRATION

Late registration is possible on the day of event at the race office.

TIMING

The race will be timed with an electronic timing application.

Please place your bib number on the front of your shirt and keep it visible especially when arriving at the finish in order to get your time. A number attached to your back or leg does not guarantee a time for your race!

MAXIMUM RUNNING TIME

The maximum running time for 10 km is 2 hours.

The maximum time for the 21.1 km route is 3,5 hours. There is one CUT OFF point on the 21.1 km route, at approximately 10 km. In order for a runner to reach the finish line within the maximum time, the participant must be at the CUT OFF point within the given time. A more precise CUT OFF time will be announced closer to the event. If a runner is late for this CUT OFF point, he/she will be directed directly to the finish line and will receive a time for the 10 km.

IF YOU WITHDRAW FROM THE RACE

If you decide to withdraw from the race, please inform a member of our staff. In that case, we kindly ask you not to come near the finish line with your bib number on.

FIRST AID

First aid will be available at the start/finish area.

REFRESHMENT STATIONS

Refreshment station 2026 will be updated later. 

Refreshment stations in 2025:

10 km: There is one hydration point on the route serving water and sport drink.

21,1 km: There are three hydration points on the route serving water and sport drink.

In addition there is a hydration station at the finish line, with water, sport drink and other refreshments from our partners.

The event organizer and event partners have the right to freely use photos and videos taken during the event. The material may also be used on social media.

CANCELLETION

You don’t need to inform us about in case you decide to cancel your participation. We don’t refund any registration fees.

TRANSFER OF PARTICIPATION

It is possible to buy transfer insurance, which allows you to transfer the registration to next year’s Helsinki Trail Run or use the paid amount for another event participation. The price of transfer insurance is 10 euros. The transfer can be made once.

If transfer insurance has not been acquired at the time of registration, the customer has the right to transfer the registration for the event to another person for a transfer fee of 10 euros, but not the right to transfer the registration to another event or to the following year.

The organizer will not refund the paid registration fee under any circumstances.

1. Transfer to another person

You can transfer your participation to another person (until 5.6.2026) for a transfer fee of 10 euros.
Note: Registration paid with sport vouchers cannot be transferred to another person.

2. Transfer to next year’s Helsinki Trail Run (requires transfer insurance)

If the participant has purchased transfer insurance at the time of registration, it is possible to transfer participation to next year’s event by 11.6.2026.

3. Transfer to another event (requires transfer insurance)

If the participant has purchased transfer insurance at the time of registration, it is possible to transfer the entry for another Runner’s High event (until 11.6.2026). After the transfer request your registration will be cancelled, and you will get a discount code worth the same amount of money you paid for your registration.

How can I transfer my participation?

When transferring your participation to another event or person, or to next year, please contact tapahtumat@runhigh.fi with the following information:

  • Name of the original participant
  • Name of the person who will make the new registration (if participation will be transferrer to another person)
  • To which event the transfer will be made

After the transfer request you will get more detailed instructions by email.

FORCE MAJEURE

If the event has to be cancelled or cannot be held due to a force majeure, you are entitled to a refund of the registration fee. You must request the refund from the event organizer within 30 days of the organizer’s announcement of the event’s cancellation. However, the organizer is not responsible for any delays or damages resulting from the event’s cancellation or postponement due to force majeure, and you are not entitled to compensation for any additional or useless expenses incurred, such as accommodation or travel costs. Force majeure is an event or occurrence beyond the control of the organizer which the organizer could not reasonably be expected to have taken into account at the time of the conclusion of the contract or to have avoided or overcome it or its consequences. Force majeure comprehends both natural disasters and events such as civil unrest, risk to general safety, orders of public authorities or other superior force that prevents the organizing of the event.

ROUTE

THE 2026 ROUTE WILL BE PUBLISHED AS THE EVENT APPROACHES!

Visible is the 2025 route map. The 10 km route is marked on the map in blue and the 21,1 km route in red.

The route runs along the forest trails in the northern part of Helsinki’s Central Park, and is marked on the trails. Please follow the route markings closely when running.

TIMETABLE

Helsinki Trail Run will be run on Friday 13th of June 2025 at Paloheinä, Helsinki.

Kids Run Helsinki Trail: bib numbers can be picked up at the race office between 14.30-17.00. Please note that late registration for the kids runs ends at 17.00!

MAXIMUM RUNNING TIME & CUT OFF
The maximum running time for 10 km is 2 hours.
The maximum running time for 21,1 km is 3,5 hours. There is one cut off point on the 21,1 km route at the 10 km mark. Runners must make it to the cut off point by 20.12 (1h 42min from the start) to be able to continue on the course. If a runner does not make the cut off time, they will be led by the organizer to the finish and will get a time for 10 km.
QUITTING

If you have quit your race, please inform a member of our staff. In that case, we kindly ask you not to come near the finish line with your bib number on.

BAG DROP

Bag drop is free for all the runners and it will be located near the race office. Bag drop is open at the race day between 16.00-22.15.

You will collect your belongings by showing your bib number, so keep it safe if your have bags in the storage.

The event organizer will have full rights to publish the photos and video material taken during the event. We may also use the photos on our social media channels.

After the transfer request your registration will be cancelled, and you will get a discount code worth the same amount of money you paid for your registration.
